Décopatch is an incredibly versatile technique - and at the same time very easy to learn. It is perfectly suited for the design of these chic vases. The light, only 20 gsm papers can be torn and put together to create new motifs. Of course they can also be used flat in the existing pattern.
First the spherical vase is primed with white paint. While the paint is drying tear the Decopatch Paperinto small pieces (do not cut!) Position the paper snippets on the ball vase one by one by spreading décopatch glue on the vase with a brush, put the paper snippets on, smooth out possible creases with the brush. A smooth decopatch paper edge is achieved by carefully cutting off the superfluous Paper with a scalpel.
The upper edge of the spherical vase or lines of the made decopatch pattern can then be decorated very well with a Pearl pen or other effect liner
Depending on your taste, simply stick a few twigs into the vase and hang painted paper flowers and/or papier-mâché hearts in the twigs.
Extra tip:
To use the ball vase for fresh flowers, the inside wall of the ball vase should be painted with glossy Clear varnish . This process should be repeated after drying, so that a dense water-repellent protective layer is really created.
