Instructions No. 3636
Difficulty: Beginner
Working time: 1 hour
Before you start dyeing, make sure that your glass bottles are clean and dry. Residue or moisture can affect the result.
Applying the paintUse a painting sponge to dab the glass and porcelain paint evenly onto the surface of the bottle. Be careful not to apply too much paint, as it will initially appear milky but will become transparent after drying and develop a beautiful shine.
Time to dry:Leave the bottles to dry for about 4 hours. This time is necessary to ensure that the paint adheres firmly to the glass and that you achieve optimum results when firing.
Place the colored bottles in a cold oven. Set the temperature to 160 °C. Once the oven has reached this temperature, the bottles will need another 90 minutes to bake in the color. Allow the bottles to cool in the oven afterwards to prevent any tension in the glass.
Creative decorationNow comes the fun part: fill the painted glass bottles with flowers, tea lights or other decorative elements as desired. Your self-designed bottles are now a real eye-catcher and add a personal touch to any room.
