modelling from ghosts
Start by kneading polymer clay until it is soft and malleable. Then roll a small ball that will serve as the head for your ghost. Take a larger piece of polymer clay, roll it out thinly and cut out a circle. Drape this circle over the ball to form the body of the ghost and let the ends fall loosely to make it look like a floating ghost.
Pumpkins with texture
To create pumpkins, shape a ball of polymer clay and use a piece of string to make the typical grooves. This gives your pumpkin a realistic look and makes it a real eye-catcher.
Creepy spiders
For the spiders, roll two different sized balls of polymer clay - one for the body and a smaller one for the head. Shape a "sausage" out of polymer clay and cut it into eight pieces, which you bend into the typical leg shape and attach to the body.
Final sanding & hardening
Before you put your figures in the oven, use the modeling tool to poke a small hole in the figure so that you can attach a decorative hook once it has hardened. You can also poke eyes into your figures. Harden your models in a preheated oven at around 110 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes. Once they have cooled down, you can attach the decorative hooks using handicraft glue and enjoy your handmade Halloween jewelry.
