The cold season invites us to make our homes cozy. And what better way to achieve this than with atmospheric light decorations? In this guide, I'll show you how to create an enchanting, illuminated winter landscape with simple materials. Not only will this project envelope your home in a cozy atmosphere, but it is also the perfect DIY project for the winter and Christmas season.
Mini Winter World – Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Prepare Glasses and Tray
Start by priming the tray in white. If white isn't your preferred color, feel free to paint it in another color or even leave it in its natural look. The glass baubles are decorated with the snow liner at the top to create the effect of freshly fallen snow. Sprinkle some diamond snow over it and let everything dry thoroughly.
Step 2: Decorate the Tray
Now it's time to decorate the tray. Adhere the miniature pine trees to the tray as you please. To find the optimal position, place the glass baubles first for orientation and mark the spots with a pencil. You can glue the trees in these marked areas. Fill the tray with diamond snow to create an uneven, natural snow landscape.
Step 3: Complete the Light Decoration
Now for the touch of light magic. Consider how you want to arrange the string lights. You can position the lights both under and next to the baubles. Shape the wire so that the lights stay in place, or fix them with adhesive if needed. Once you've found the perfect arrangement, place your masterpiece in a beautiful spot and enjoy the atmospheric light.
I wish you lots of fun crafting and decorating your own little winter wonderland. And if you don't have all the materials yet, feel free to check our materials list or webshop.
