These little flower girls look simply adorable. With the practical VBS creative set you can easily recreate the 5 girls. All you need is a hole puncher, scissors, hot glue and crafting colours. This craft idea can be realised together with children.
Design the flower girls step by step:
1. transfer the template for the flower skirt to the dotted paper and the template for the wings to vellum paper. Cut everything out. Punch a hole in the center of the flower skirts with a hole punch.
2. Cut the round sticks to 10 cm. Use a side cutter, for example. Stick the cut sticks onto the wooden discs. Apply hot glue 3.5 to 4 cm above the wooden disk (once around the wooden stick). Now pull the flowers onto the sticks. The previously applied hot glue prevents the skirts from slipping down.
3. Paint the wooden balls (25 mm) with different colors. The best colors for this are the VBS "Bonbon" craft paint set is best for this, as it is color-coordinated with the papers. Once the paint has dried, pull the balls onto the wooden stick and place them over the skirts.
4. Cut the chenille wire into 10 cm pieces, wrap this around the stick once over the ball to form the arms. Thread on wooden beads for the hands.
5. Draw faces on the larger wooden balls (30 mm); first sketch them out with a pencil. Color the eyes with white handicraft paint , draw a circle on the white with ice blue and draw the pupil, eyelashes, nose and mouth with a black liner. Fix the wooden ball to the chenille wire with hot glue.
6. The flower girls' hair is made from fairytale wool. Take some fairy wool for each girl, stick it into the hole at the top of the wooden ball , shape it a little and fix it in place with a little hot glue. Now the hair can be styled as desired.
7. Finally, glue the already cut wings to the back of the body using hot glue.
