Sustainability is becoming more and more important in the world. We at VBS have therefore been working intensively on this topic for several years because the environment is close to our hearts. For this reason, we are also increasingly including sustainable products in our range. We also try to provide inspiration and examples on this topic with ideas and instructions.
In addition to our assortment, we at VBS also pay attention to producing as little waste and especially plastic as possible. For example, we do not use plastic bags for shipping. Furthermore, it is important to us that we send you your goods in a climate-neutral way.
Website Carbon Neutral Program
With this special programme from our contract partner Ryte, we have been able to offset the CO2 footprint of our website. The CO2 emissions are offset by the fact that we support a climate protection project mediated by ClimatePartner. The project we support is certified with the strict VCS standard and is verified by the Rainforest Alliance and TÜV Nord.
Climate neutral shipping
We ship climate-neutrally with our shipping partner DHL. Thanks to DHL, all letters, parcels and packages are sent with offsetting of emissions generated. This programme supports climate protection projects around the world through investments.
Sustainable products
At VBS, we focus on natural materials or natural raw materials such as wood, peddigree cane, jute and natural flowers such as dried flowers. Sustainable products made from rapidly renewable raw materials are particularly suitable for environmentally friendly handicrafts and can be used without hesitation.
Sustainable products are also decorative ribbons made from natural material, on spools of 100% recycled material.
Warehouse
In our warehouse, we are constantly trying to evolve in order to store and later ship products to our customers in a more sustainable way. It is our goal to avoid as much waste as possible in the warehouse and during the shipping process. It is also important to us to use less and less plastic. For this reason, we have decided to do away with plastic bags and replace them with much more sustainable products.
Return
Returned goods that arrive at our premises are carefully checked by us and, if possible, offered as reduced goods in our shop. This helps to avoid as much waste as possible in the returns process.
