Wall decorations made from natural decorations
Anleitung No. 2322Metal rings and dried flowers can be used to create contemporary wall decorations. Learn here how to create trendy decorative rings with a natural look from the individual materials. In this idea, three different types of design are combined into one large mural.
Autumnal decorative ring combined with wooden burning
1. Print out the free motif template and transfer it to the rattan cane base using graphite paper. Trace the lines with a branding pen.2. Saw the cane base to size and smooth the edges with a little sandpaper if necessary.
3. Colour the burnt flowers and leaves with a little diluted craft paint.
4. Stick the cane base behind the metal ring with craft glue and fix it with a jute cord. Cut two pieces of jute cord and tie a knot at each end. Now thread the ribbons from the right and left through the holes in the rattan cane base and around the metal ring so that both ribbons end in the middle at the top. Knot a suspension from the two ends of the thread.
5. Tie two small bunches of dried grasses and attach them to the metal ring with binding wire.
6. Tie a bow with green satin ribbon and fix it to the ring with binding wire.
Decorative ring with gilded dried flower petals
1. Coat the dried flower petals with application milk and allow to dry for approx. 10 minutes.2. Then cover with metal leaf and carefully brush on with a nylon brush. Remove any excess with the brush. Then apply a coat of finishing varnish and allow to dry.
3. String the metal ring criss-cross with warp yarn and arrange the dried leaves in it.
4. Finally, attach a piece of warp yarn to the ring as a hanger.
Black decorative ring with candle
1. Cut the stems of the pampas fronds, separate the gypsophila from the stems.2. Tie the dried flowers and grasses to the metal ring with binding wire.
3. Fix the different coloured taffeta ribbons to the ring.
4. Glue the eucalyptus to the ring with hot glue.
5. Finally, place the stick candle in the candle spout.
