natural materials are currently indispensable in the interior! These pretty decorative leaves made from raffia and rattan cane you can easily make them yourself in the shape and size that suits you best. We explain step-by-step how to make these great eye-catchers in any vase.
The decorative leaves can be made in any size.
Take a strand rattan cane and place it in lukewarm water for approx. 5 minutes. This will make it pliable. Then double the strand and hold the ends together. You now have a leaf shape. Take another piece for the middle of the leaf. Leave this strand longer so that you can use it as a stem. Cut off the others with the scissors. Now tie all 3 strands together with raffia paper raffia. Leave it to dry. The rattan cane will then be stable again.
You can leave the leaves as they are or design them with more raffia. For example, you can design the leaf veins with the raffia-raffia .
To do this, cut a piece about 2 meters long from raffia and knot it to the central piece of cane. Now start weaving: The bast thread is tied alternately from one side to the other and under the rattan cane . To ensure that nothing slips, you can fix individual sections with handicraft glue .
At the end, tie the raffia around the three strands of cane several times so that they are no longer visible. Secure the end of the raffia with handicraft glue.
Place your decorative leaves in a container of your choice.
